This painting was commissioned for an interior designer’s client as part of a paired artwork installation for the dining room. Designed to work in unison with the darker Autumn Ground painting, this piece acts as its visual contrast - lighter, softer, and uplifting, while still deeply connected through materiality and form.

The palette is composed of off-white and warm neutral tones that echo the lighter elements within the space, including the rug and dining chairs. These softer hues bring brightness and openness to the room, providing balance against the depth and weight of the darker companion piece.

The surface is highly textured, featuring a grainy, stone-like finish that reinforces the artwork’s connection to natural materials. Rounded, raised patterns appear throughout the composition to add a modern feel and tie in with the curved elements within this room like the light fixtures, round dining chairs, curved bench and decorative items. 

Together, the two paintings create contrast through relationship rather than within each individual work—one grounding and moody, the other light and calming. This interplay adds visual rhythm to the dining room and enhances the overall atmosphere of the space.

The painting is finished with a bronze floating frame, adding an elegant, refined edge. The warm metallic tone complements the soft neutrals and textured surface, elevating the piece while maintaining its organic, nature-inspired character.
